The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and skilled at building efficient systems in a busy medical environment. You’ll collaborate with clinicians, technicians, faculty, and staff, manage purchasing and vendor relationships, maintain regulatory compliance, and lead inventory team members with confidence and clarity. What you need to know Salary: Starting at $55, 000 - $65,000 annually, c ompensation will be   commensurate   to the selected   hire’s   experience.     Location/Schedule: Located onsite in College Station, TX, this full-time role has a typical schedule of Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. You may upload them   on   the application under the CV/Resume section .       Please Note: Persons in this position are considered essential when the University declares an emergency, campus closure, class cancellations, etc. Qualifications Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience Three years of related experience in one or all the following: inventory or warehouse management, hospital inventory operations Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s or above in Business, Health Care Administration, Pharmacy, or Finance Medical and/or Pharmacy Background 3 years of experience in business, Finance, purchasing and inventory control. Experience with Analyzing data and Trends Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Strong supervisory, management, and interpersonal skills Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications Knowledge of purchase orders, invoices, payables, and receiving procedures.   Knowledge of inventory systems with an ability to manage multiple processes/employees simultaneously   Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others Excellent verbal and written communication skills Customer service skills Knowledge of government and higher education operations Ability to work in a complex environment with State rules and regulations, and apply rules to purchases and payment transaction A general knowledge of inventory verification and valuation methods, procuring and receiving Responsibilities Inventory process coordination: Develop forecasting models based on usage trends, seasonality, and clinical demand. Oversee and maintain hospital inventory of all supplies, coordinating the purchasing and receiving processes, and maintaining accurate counts of all products. Signs inventory certifications. Monitors and assures inventory levels meet demand by tracking usage & setting inventory levels in support of appropriate PAR levels conducive to hospital function. Design and implement procedures to mitigate loss; limit excess, outdated and slow-moving inventory; and improve processes. Implement a notification system upon delivery of rush/overnight orders. Oversee the distribution of medical supplies to requesting departments. Oversee accuracy in shipments going out or coming in and managing all documentation of receives goods. Efficiently uses warehouse space. Ensures supply chain areas are organized and maintained, including regular cleaning and labeling. Schedules and perform audits on departmental inventories.   Inventory formulary review: Compile inventory reports and forecast inventory requirements by monitoring supply shortages.  Act as a liaison between clinical supervisors and supply chain to set PAR levels and communicate any backorders, delays, damaged items etc. Resolves customer service issues and answers questions of those needing assistance. Will meet with the hospital service departments regularly to ensure proper supplies and pars are maintained. Supervising:  Oversee the buyers, central receiving, and materials management staff. Lead initiates to improve workflow, reduce waste, and enhance supply chain efficiency. Training and Reporting:  Develop and refine SOPs for inventory, receiving, and distribution Conducts training for new staff. Updates instruction and procedure manuals regarding inventory. Attends training and workshops as required.   Prepares and updates various and applicable inventory reports.
