Job DescriptionAt Egis we imagine, create, connect, and achieve a sustainable future by providing planning, engineering, and infrastructure services that fit the needs of our local communities all around the world.  Our Transportation team promote and encourage innovation to create unique solutions that make positive impact on the world around us, improve living conditions, and keep people connected across land, air, and sea.  Join our team and help us to ‘Impact the Future’ and keep our communities connected.Egis is currently seeking Senior Traffic Engineers to join our Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering Team, located in Ontario offices.  The successful candidate will join a leading-edge practice, developing work in multi-modal transportation projects including Transportation Master Plans, Active Transportation Master Plans, Secondary Plans, Area Studies, Municipal Class Environmental Assessments, Traffic Management Plans, Transportation Impact Studies, Parking Studies, Transit Studies, and other Multi-Modal Studies.Undertakes and manages transportation planning and traffic engineering studies including:multi-modal transportation studiestransportation master plans (TMP)municipal class environmental assessments (EA) studiesactive transportation master plan (ATMP) studies/projectstransportation demand management (TDM) studiestransit studiesparking studiestraffic operations and safety studiestransportation impact studies (TIS)traffic management plansCompleting traffic modelling and analysis with applicable design software (Synchro, VISSIM, VISUM, Aimsun, etc.).Acting as Project Manager and providing overall work management and technical performance on projects to ensure timelines and targets are being met.Actively participates in the preparation of proposals and writing reports, for transportation planning led and multi-disciplinary projects including EAs, TMPs, ATMPs, TIS, transit studies, parking studies, etc.Providing mentorship, guidance, quality control, support and oversight of junior and intermediate staff to complete various traffic engineering and transportation planning tasks.Attends and participates at client, stakeholders, and public meetings.Conduct and lead field studies (site visits, inventories, traffic, and parking counts, etc).Identify and participate in the acquisition of new clients and work (research and liaise with clients, network within the industry).Establishes and maintains good working relationships and communication with clients, department managers, internal and external leads.
