Job DescriptionThe Laboratory Administrative Assistant, Embryology and Andrology reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.Responsibilities:Administrative Functions:Prepare required paperwork/documents for the day's patients ensuring completeness and accuracy of information; prepare charts according to standard office procedure, including lab results, consent forms, procedure reports, and outside medical recordsMay include seeing patients within the clinic/virtually to confirm patient record or required paperworkPerform daily data entry in compliance with SART (Society for Artificial Reproductive Technology)Understanding of laboratory inventory process, which includes routinely receiving, stocking, and rotating all consumable suppliesAssist in all aspects of shipping and receiving cryo-storage specimens, including answer all incoming inquiries from patients, providers, and staff, courier scheduling, shipment handling, inventory maintenance and specimen transfersAssist in maintaining patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information as required by this positionCoordinate projects facilitating information flow and adherence to deadlinesPerform ad hoc administrative duties as assigned by the Reproductive Endocrinology Infertility (REI) leadershipLaboratory Functions:Follow the laboratory’s procedures for reporting and maintaining records of patient test results specifically morning laboratory quality control and patient medical recordsAdhere to the laboratory’s quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performedStudy and review laboratory operating manual and become familiar with quality assurance, quality control, safety procedures and operating guidelines for performing laboratory servicesParticipate in laboratory operations as directedAttend laboratory meetings as requestedAssist embryology staff with procedures and research projectsCommunicate with clinical staff, as appropriate
