Job DescriptionAs a Test Development Engineer you would play an important role in our innovative Test Development team, working on avionics and possibly on land based armoured vehicle communication systems. You will be expected to provide test solutions for highly technical electronic circuits and units. You will undertake test development strategies and develop test solutions to ensure our products meet all our quality requirements and safe functionality within the aircraft. You will also play a major part in technical investigations, requiring a comprehensive knowledge of electronic hardware with a heavy processor/FPGA bias.Working alongside top quality engineers, you will find your hardware/software knowledge continually expanding, leading to opportunities for future development and progressionAs a senior engineer, you will be expected to play a leading role within the company. Being heavily involved in test strategy development and implementation, you will be required to produce detailed recommendations along with project planning using Microsoft Office applications. You will be expected to present test strategies to senior management. You must be good at decision making, be capable of open technical discussion and have the ability to understand ‘the bigger picture’. You will need to be a team player but also capable of working individually. As your role grows, there will be opportunities for you to become an Engineering Team Lead with direct reports and additional responsibilities.
