Job DescriptionDuration: 12‑month project (fixed‑term)Who will you be working with?Our best-in-class Supplier Quality Engineering team combines the technical expertise necessary to understand engineered design and functional requirements with the quality control processes developed and maintained in cooperation across the supply chain.How will you make a difference? As a member of the Supplier Quality Engineering group, you will be responsible for inspection and validation of new components to drawing and specification requirements. You will be working with the local Supplier Quality Engineering team to coordinate and conduct samples reviews and closure of the Production Part Approval Process. In this role you will be directly supporting the SQE team, shop operations, sourcing, and procurement. Reporting to your local SQE leader and project coordinator.What will your typical day look like? Inspecting and validating components for print/specification adherenceEscalating discrepancies and driving correctionCollaborating with local SQE’s on priorities of actionCollaborating with operations team aligning component fit-upsWorking across the facility in inventory storage and at production lineWhat about the physical demands of the job? Standing and kneeling Reading of small writing on blueprints and labels Wearing PPE per site requirements You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
