The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the routine, preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance tasks that are assigned by the project’s maintenance repair program.  The water and wastewater utility includes one water plant, one wastewater plant, a collection system with six lift stations, a distribution system and meters. Essential duties are, but not limited to:   <ul style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-top: 0px;"> <li style="margin: 0in 0in 0in 0px; font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Arial Narrow', sans-serif;">Performing all routine, preventive and corrective maintenance assignments that are assigned to by the project's preventive maintenance and repair program.</li> <li style="margin: 0in 0in 0in 0px; font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Arial Narrow', sans-serif;">Performing housekeeping duties in the maintenance department and on maintenance vehicles as assigned by the project’s manager.</li> <li style="margin: 0in 0in 0in 0px; font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Arial Narrow', sans-serif;">Performing all work in a safe and professional manner by following established safety, operating, and emergency response procedures.</li> <li style="margin: 0in 0in 0in 0px; font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Arial Narrow', sans-serif;">Performing all work to produce a result which meets all goals and objectives set by the project’s manager.</li> <li style="background: white; margin: 0in 0in 0in 0px; font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Arial Narrow', sans-serif;">Responsible for operating plant collection and distribution equipment such as aerators, filters, pumps, lift stations, aeration basins, anoxic basins, instrumentation, motors, clarifiers, chemical feed systems, blowers, mixers, generators, lighting, chlorinators, rake drives, bar screens, storage tanks, meters, air compressors, sludge dewatering equipment, and other similarly related plant components and equipment.</li> <li style="background: white; margin: 0in 0in 0in 0px; font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Arial Narrow', sans-serif;">Maintain and adjust equipment to achieve the best possible treatment results and to maintain compliance with the plant operating permit.</li> <li style="background: white; margin: 0in 0in 0in 0px; font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Arial Narrow', sans-serif;">Perform daily checks of the facility to document operational status and maintenance requirements. </li> </ul>   There is plenty of room for upward growth and mobility in this position for motivated candidates!     What You Will Need To Succeed:   <ul style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-top: 0px;"> <li style="background: white; margin: 0in 0in 0in 0px; font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Arial Narrow', sans-serif;">High School or trade school diploma is required.
