TAs the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and supervision of the operational and maintenance activities of the department’s drinking water treatment and distribution system. As the PM you will oversee a team of 11 staff and manage the daily operation, maintenance, and compliance of the Adelanto Public Utility Authority systems—to include managing all associated regulatory sampling programs–in a safe and timely manner.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The Adelanto Public Utility Authority water system consists of 12 groundwater wells, 2 purchased water interconnects, 165 miles of transmission and distribution pipelines, nearly 10,000 water services, 6 reservoirs, 3 booster pump stations, 1 drinking water treatment plant, as well as the departments 3-zone distribution system.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The Adelanto Public Utility Authority wastewater system consists of one wastewater treatment plant, one Lift Station, and 120 miles of collection system main.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Each day presents different challenges and learning opportunities as we work towards maintaining 100% compliance which is achieved by daily process monitoring and a comprehensive maintenance system. He or she will also work closely with all parties to ensure effective system operation and optimization, staff development, implementation and management of an innovative predictive maintenance management program, administration and implementation of all routine and capital repair and replacement projects, and emergency response for process upsets, equipment failures, force majeure events, all alarm events, etc. He or She will regularly prepare reports for regulators, clients, and the firm. Additionally, the Project Manager will manage the budget of the project and manage the scope and schedule of contractual obligations and serve as the main point of contact between the client and the firm. Supervision will be provided by an Area Manager; however, the Project Manager must be able to work comfortably in a self-directed environment with minimal daily supervision.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Schedule: </strong></p> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>Reliable and dependable attendance is an essential function of this position.
