Externally, the role builds and maintains relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and consultants, contributing to a well-governed and compliant finance operation across the US business.<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</p> <p><br>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>General Ledger &amp; Month-End Close (~40%)<br>-Responsible for accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures for key balance sheet and income statement accounts, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analysis.<br>-Key areas of responsibility include cash, inventory, prepayments, undeposited funds, and accruals. Maintain sub-ledger and reconcile to the general ledger.<br>-Assist in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes.</p> <p>Financial Reporting &amp; Cross-Functional Support (~25%)<br>-Collaborate with other functional areas to support the accounting close process and drive OPEX trend analysis.<br>-Prepare audit schedules as requested by external auditors to support the annual audit.<br>-Support ad-hoc projects as required.</p> <p>Tax Compliance (~20%)<br>-Preparation of federal, state, and local tax filings, as well as sales tax filings, in compliance with all applicable regulations.</p> <p>Process Improvement &amp; Internal Controls (~15%)<br>-Develop, implement, and maintain key policies and procedures for areas of responsibility.<br>-Support the Assistant Financial Controller in enhancing existing accounting procedures and internal controls, seeking opportunities to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.</p> <p><br>Skills &amp; Experience<br>-3+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on general ledger, revenue, and/or inventory accounting<br>-Strong knowledge of US GAAP; experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation<br>-Experience using ERP systems and accounting software; proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting<br>-Knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations, including sales tax compliance; experience supporting external audits</p> <p><br>Qualities &amp; Attributes&nbsp;<br>-Detail-oriented and highly accurate, with a commitment to data integrity across all reporting deliverables<br>-Proactive and solutions-focused, with a drive to improve processes and internal controls</p> <p>Salary range: 90-110k</p>\n<p></p><p><br></p><p></p>\n
