This role is a senior individual contributor position focused on improving developer productivity, build and release workflows, internal tooling, and platform usability. You will work closely with Platform, Cloud Infrastructure, and Product Engineering teams to reduce friction and enable engineers to ship faster and safer. This role plays a key part in ensuring HighLevel’s engineering organization can scale efficiently while maintaining high quality and reliability. \n Requirements:<ul> <li>5+ years of software engineering experience</li> <li>Strong hands-on experience with: Node.js, TypeScript</li> <li>Experience building internal tools or developer-facing platforms</li> <li>Strong understanding of modern web application architecture</li> <li>Experience collaborating with backend, platform, and infrastructure teams</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving and communication skills</li> </ul> Responsibilities:<ul> <li>Developer Platform & Tooling:</li> <li>Design and build internal developer tools and platforms using Node.js, TypeScript, and Vue.js</li> <li>Develop user-friendly interfaces and APIs that enable self-service workflows for engineers</li> <li>Improve developer onboarding and day-to-day workflows through automation and tooling</li> <li>Partner with Internal Developer Platform (IDP) and Platform Engineering teams on shared capabilities </li> <li>CI/CD & Developer Workflows:</li> <li>Improve CI/CD developer experience by building tooling around build, test, and deployment workflows</li> <li>Create abstractions and interfaces that simplify interaction with CI/CD pipelines</li> <li>Help standardize development and release workflows across teams</li> <li>Identify bottlenecks in the developer workflow and drive improvements </li> <li>Frontend & UI Development:</li> <li>Build and maintain internal web applications and dashboards using Vue.js</li> <li>Focus on usability, performance, and consistency across DevEx tools</li> <li>Work closely with designers and platform engineers to deliver intuitive developer-facing experiences </li> <li>Backend Services & APIs:</li> <li>Build backend services and APIs using <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="http://Node.js" class="postings-link">Node.js</a> and TypeScript to support DevEx tooling</li> <li>Integrate with platform services, CI/CD systems, and infrastructure APIs</li> <li>Ensure reliability, scalability, and security of internal tools</li> <li>Good to have: Build or contribute to backend services in Go (Golang) where appropriate </li> <li>Automation & Self-Service:</li> <li>Automate manual processes to reduce developer wait times and friction.</li> <li>Enable self-service capabilities for: Environment provisioning, Access management, Debugging and observability</li> <li>Reduce reliance on ticket-based workflows through automation. </li> <li>Technical Leadership:</li> <li>Act as a senior engineer within the DevEx team</li> <li>Mentor mid-level engineers and review code/designs</li> <li>Contribute to technical standards and best practices</li> <li>Collaborate across teams to influence developer experience improvements</li> </ul> Nice to Have:<ul> <li>Experience building frontend applications, preferably with VueJS</li> <li>Experience with Golang (Go) for backend or platform services</li> <li>Familiarity with CI/CD systems and developer workflows</li> <li>Experience building platforms or tooling at scale</li> <li>Exposure to cloud-native or Kubernetes-based environments</li> <li>Prior experience in DevEx or platform teams</li> </ul> \nEEO Statement: The company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
