What you’ll be doing: You’ll be responsible for designing and embedding pragmatic, proportionate security architectures across FNZ’s products, platforms, and enterprise services, spanning cloud and on‑premise environments. Your responsibilities will include: Security Architecture & Design Designing scalable, practical security architectures that support secure product and platform delivery Leading secure design activities including threat modelling and security control selection Reviewing new initiatives and designs, identifying material risks and enabling sound, sustainable decisions Driving secure outcomes across areas such as cryptography, secrets management, infrastructure, and platform trust Engineering Partnership & Delivery Partnering closely with engineering, product, infrastructure, identity, and architecture teams to embed security early Working directly with delivery teams to understand requirements, assess trade‑offs, and deliver workable solutions Translating ambiguous business and technical requirements into clear, risk‑informed designs Standards, Governance & Influence Leading and contributing to security architecture governance forums and design authorities Defining and evolving security patterns, standards, reference architectures, and engineering guardrails Acting as a senior security voice in cross‑functional forums, bringing clarity, pace, and strong judgement Supporting the secure adoption of new and emerging technologies, including AI systems where relevant Continuous Improvement Raising security architecture standards across teams and domains Contributing to the ongoing improvement of FNZ’s security architecture practices, governance, and engagement models What we’re looking for: You’ll be an experienced security architect with the credibility to influence senior stakeholders and the practical mindset to deliver solutions that work in real-world engineering environments.
