Working arrangement: Work at the office 100% at Empire Tower (BTS Chong NonSri) Responsibilities Database Management & Maintenance Install, configure, upgrade, and patch database software. Manage database objects (tables, views, indexes, stored procedures). Ensure high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) strategies. Performance Monitoring & Optimization Monitor system performance and troubleshoot slow queries or bottlenecks. Optimize database storage and tuning queries for performance. Backup & Recovery Plan and implement backup and restore procedures. Ensure data recovery solutions are in place and tested regularly. Security & Compliance Implement and maintain database security, including access control and encryption. Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). Support & Troubleshooting Provide support to developers and application teams regarding database architecture. Troubleshoot issues related to database connectivity, performance, and access. Documentation & Reporting Maintain database-related documentation including architecture diagrams and procedures. Generate regular reports on system health, performance, and usage. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of database systems such as SQL Server, AWS Aurora MySQL, PostgreSQL, mongodb atlas. Experience with database backup and recovery, tuning, and optimization. Familiarity with cloud databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Alibaba apsaradb) is a plus. Strong understanding of data security and compliance requirements. Preferred: Certifications (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server Certified: AWS Certified Database – Specialty). Experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python). Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, or infrastructure as code is a plus. Soft Skills Analytical and problem-solving mindset. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks. Working Conditions May be required to work on-call or outside regular business hours for emergency support or maintenance. May involve working with global teams across different time zones.
