The role involves leading technical system efforts, ensuring data integrity, and providing high-level technical support across complex Microsoft and UNIX-based environments.Essential Job DutiesProvide senior-level engineering support for the design, integration, and implementation of complex Microsoft and UNIX-based server architectures and hardware.Lead the technical planning and execution of server upgrades, resource allocation, and storage management (SAN/NAS) for theater-level data processing environments.Oversee the deployment and maintenance of virtualized environments (VMware/Hyper-V) and manage hybrid-cloud integrations to enable scalable and resilient system performance.Direct the management of Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, and GPO configurations to ensure secure access control and compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) standards.Ensure the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of the Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN) by performing advanced troubleshooting and ensuring all systems meet STIG compliance requirements.Provide situational assessments, utilization metrics, and proactive technical support to address emerging system requirements and theater-wide processing initiatives.
